Ice Storm Stories-- the Book
I'm so excited that they have picked my photo to help advertise a new book called The Great Ice Storm and Blackout of 2009! You can see my photo on the website: http://www.sciartmedia.com/icestormstories.html. Cross your fingers that they select this image to be in the book, which will be published next spring. Yay!

Deja Vu
Remember Liam?!?! Finally, finally, finally! Liam has a baby brother, Aidan! This family is amazing and such fun to work with. Aidan is only eleven days old--the youngest baby I've worked with yet, and he was just a dream. I got so many great shots and I've spent the night editing, but I couldn't resist posting a sneak peek. Enjoy.

Winter Comes Early to Maine!
Wow. Wow wow. I remember the "Ice Storm of '98" and how I kicked myself over and over for not getting out and shooting the world covered in ice. This weekend I got another chance. Along with the unfortunate power outages, wood shortages, and property destruction came the most beautiful day I've seen in some time! With no tv, internet, or heat, and a day home from work, I figured it was the right time to get out and use up the rest of my battery power! Here it is:

The Show is ON!
Tonight (with the help of Mom:) I hung my work at Absolute Health Chiropractic. Whew! This was a lot of stuff to carry from the parking garage to the office, but now it is up, for sale, and ready for the First Friday gallery walk this week. Check out the First Friday website. (One City Center is in the Arts District: Monument Square section). Hope to see you there!

Huskies!
Introducing Dak and Rifka! Are these not two of the most gorgeous huskies you've seen?! And to top it off, would you believe that they are eleven and thirteen? Today was insanely gorgeous-- it was even too warm for gloves, which is pretty impressive for December, and for me, she of constantly freezing hands. Anyway. On to the dogs!

November Sunshine
Yesterday I shot some photos with Isaac and his family on a warm(ish) November afternoon. Here are a few of my favorites so far... this little man was tricky because he did Not want to look at the camera! Lucky for me he is gorgeous from every angle, and far be it for me to argue with a two year old!

New Blog Format
Today I finally took some time to change my blog in order to make space for bigger photos. I settled on this design which keeps the basic feel of my previous template, but will hopefully allow bigger, better images... especially since Baby S is due tomorrow!! Yay! I'm so excited to begin newborn photography.

Bella Luna
Yesterday I had my first go at kitten photography... and well... they are fast! At least Luna is. These are a few of my favorites of Luna and her new dad. She has to be the most beautiful cat I've ever seen--like a little cheetah!

A Walk in the Woods
Today Tucker and I took a different path in the woods than we usually do... and ended up on a 90 minute tromp through the woods! Luckily there was much to see and the sun peeped out off and on, giving me enough time to play!

Acadia, revisited
This weekend I had a request from etsy.com for more photos of Mount Desert Island / Acadia. What a great way to inspire me to reopen these images, edit them, and get them up on the web! Ahhh.... as I sip my tea and shiver, I miss summer on the beach...
